Synttäriswapille jatkoa - Birthday Swap again

Joulukuun tyttömme palasikin takaisin ja sain tällä viikolla myöhästyneen synttärilahjan. Kuvassa oleva tyttönukke on aiemmin hankkimani. Laitoin sen vain esittelemään Annen tekemään upeaa mekkoa.

Our December girl Anne is back! This week I got a late birthday present from her. The girl in the picture is the one that I have bought earlier. I just put her in the picture to show off the Lovely dress that Anne had made.

Hyllykkö - Display shelf unit

Viimein sain valmiiksi hyllykön, jonka ohje löytyy kirjasta Making Dolls' House Interiors in 1/12 Scale (Carol Lodder jne.). Hyllykkö on tehty kolmen millin puulevystä, jonka osat päällystin puukuvioisella tarramuovilla, jota saa esim. Sinellistä. Kyllä oli tuskaa liimailla osia pikaliimalla (Erikeeper ei ollut tähän hyvä). Meni päällystyksiä pari kertaa uusiksi.

I have finally finished my display shelf unit. The pattern can be found in Making Dolls' House Interiors in 1/12 Scale by Carol Lodder et al. I made the unit out of 3mm wood that I covered with wood patterned adhesive plastic. It was such a pain gluing the pieces together with superglue (regular glue was even worse). In certain parts I had to rip off and replace the wood patterned plastic a couple of times.

Synttäriswappi helmikuu - Birthday Swap February

Helmikuun synttärisankari Päivi oli tänään avannut pakettinsa, joten voin nyt laittaa tänne kuvan siitä, mitä lähetin hänelle. Neulahuovutin itse pingviinin nukkekodin pehmoleluksi, laitoin mansikkasiirtokuvat valmiisiin posliiniastoihin, tein Fimosta marenkeja, vaahtokarkkeja, sydänkeksejä ja muumikellon. Itse kellotaulu on tehty tulostettavalla siirtokuvakalvolla. Kukat on ostettu.

February birthday girl Päivi has opened her gifts today, so I can post a picture here of what I sent to her. I needlefelted the "stuffed toy" penguin , attached strawberry decals to bought porcelain dishes and made meringues, marshmallows, heart cookies and a Moomin wall clock from Fimo. I made the actual clock face with printable water slide decal paper. The flowers I have bought.

Synttäriswap - Birthday swap

Keksin joulukuussa idean synttäriswappiin. Siinä on ajatuksena, että jokaisella kuukaudella on yksi synttärisankari, jolle muut lähettävät pienen lahjan. Joulukuu putosi pois kelkasta, joten 11:llä mennään. Minulla oli synttärit ensimmäisenä tammikuussa, ja alla on kuvia kaikesta mitä sain.

In December I had an idea of birthday swap. Every month there is one birthday girl who gets small gifts from everyone else. December girl has dropped out, so there are 11 of us left. I had my birthday in January, so I was the first to receive gifts. Below are pictures of all the things I received.

Minnalta lautasia ja pitsikoriste, joka sopii hyvin nojatuolin selkänojalle.

From Minna: plates and a lace motif that will end up on the back of an armchair.

Marikalta kangasta,, sydänkoriste, kapeaa pitsiä, kaulakoru, napinkantoja, peili ja purkki

From Marika: fabric, thin lace, heart embellishment, necklace, button backings, mirror and jar.

Merjalta jäätelökulhoja ja tuosta kauhasta tulee saunakauha.

From Merja: ice-cream bowls and a ladle for sauna.

Päiviltä keittiövälineitä, vihreitä kuulia, donitseja, pannunalunen ja kahvipannu.

From Päivi: kitchen utensils, marmalades, donuts, potholder and a coffee pot.

Kirsiltä karkkikulho, hartihuivi ja lankaa.

From Kirsi: candy bowl, shawl and thread.

Tanjalta silmälasit, henkari, kukka, tyynyt ja tuo kangaspala päätyy pöytäliinaksi.

From Tanja: glasses, clothes hanger, flower, pillows and tablecloth.

Leenalta karkkikulhoja, karjalanpiirakoita, ruusutaulu, käsilaukku ja matkalaukku.

From Leena: candy bowls, carelian pastries, framed rose, handbag and suitcase.

Johannalta tauluja, matto, avattava rahi, pölyhuiska ja karkkirasia, jossa vielä karkit sisällä ja josta saa tehtyä matkalaukun.

From Johanna:  paintings, rug, stool that opens, feather duster and a tin candy box that still has candy in it and that can be turned into a suitcase.

Tämä oli oikein jättipaketti. Tiinalta paljon kankaita, nahkaa, metallicharmeja, kakku, pikarit, muffinsit, lasipurkit, kalavuoka, pöytätabletit, miehen hattu, suklaalevy ja itse tehdyt vihreät keramiikka-astiat.

This package was enormous. From Tiina: lots of fabric, leather, metal charms, cake, goblets, cupcakes, fish mold, placemats, hat, chocolate and green pottery that she has made herself.

Kirsiltä Saksasta suklaakakku, kakunalunen ja avattava purkki.

From Kirsi in Germany: chocolate cake, cake doily and a jar that opens.

Jouluswappi - Christmas swap

Tänään meillä oli taas Nukkis-ystävien kokoontuminen ja jouluswappi. Minä kirjoin swappiin jouluaiheisen taulun Perminin joulukorttipakkauksen ohjeesta. Kehykset on tehty kahvitikuista ja maalattu kullanvärisellä akryylimaalilla. Pannulapun virkkasin Venne Colcoton 34/2 -langasta. Nämä sai Söpökadun Piikko.

Today we had our doll's house club meeting and swap. This is what I made. The embroidery is made on 40 count silk gauze. Pattern is from Permin's Christmas card kit. Frame is made of wooden coffee stirrers and painted with golden acrylic paint. The potholder is crocheted with Venne Colcoton 34/2. The one who received these was Piikko from Söpökatu/Avenida Mignonne.

Minä taas sain Ritvalta tällaisen yllätyksen. Tosin tuo alla olevan punaisen kukkaron on tehnyt Piikko, joka oli tehnyt sellaisen meille kaikille.

I got these items from Ritva, although the little red wallet on the bottom is made by Piikko, who had made one for all of us.

Enkelikello - Angel chimes

Ostin FB:n Nukkekotikirppikseltä enkelikellokitin, ja nyt sain sen viimein valmiiksi. Prosessi oli hieman hidas, kun en käytänyt ohjeessa mainittua pikaliimaa, vaan Erikeeperiä, jonka kuivumista piti aina odotella. Ihan kiva tuosta tuli, mutta on niin hauras, ettei sitä voi mihinkään sekalaatikkoon laittaa ensi joulua odottamaan. Se pitänee suojata jotenkin, ettei pääse rikkoutumaan tai vääntymään.

I bought an angel chime kit from a Finnish Facebook dolls house group and finally I finished it. The process was a bit slow because I didn't use superglue as was instructed and I had to wait for the glue to dry after every step. The angel chime turned out nice, but it's very delicate. I'll have to take some precautions when I pack it up for next Christmas so it doesn't break or bend.

Kodinkoneita ja viinilaatikoita - Domestic appliances and wine boxes

Taas oli Finnaimon Nellie Kirpputori Silinterissä myymässä nukkekotitavaraa. Olin tilannut sinne jo etukäteen ostokseni. Ostin Mielen kodinkoneista jääkaapin, tiskikoneen, uunin ja pesukoneen. Pitikin heti päästä jo jääkaappia täyttämään. =)

Once again Nellie from Finnaimo was selling miniature stuff  in my home town. I had ordered the items I wanted to buy there beforehand. I bought Miele's domestic appliences: a refrigerator, a dishwasher, an oven and a washing machine. I just had to start filling the fridge right away. =)

Tänään kävi myös hyvä tuuri. Tuttuni on töissä Alkossa, ja hän oli ottanut minulle sieltä kaksi tällaista viinilaatikkoa, joista saa tietysti roomboxit.

I was also lucky today. I know this girl who works in our nearest liqueur store and she gave me these wine bottle boxes from there. These will of course transform into roomboxes.
