Tässä toinen niistä The House of Miniaturesin rakennussarjoista. Onnistuin hukkaamaan yhden kahvan koristelevyn. Putosi luultavasti lattianrakoon. Onneksi Doloresin verkkokaupassa myytiin samanlaisia. Ne ovat pikkuisen eri värisävyä, mutta se ei haitannut, kun laitoin molempiin ylälaatikoihin samanlaiset. Nuo alkuperäiset kahvat on muuten kamalia laittaa paikoilleen niin paksuun puuhun, kuin näiden laatikoiden etulevyt on. Noita kahvoja varten porataan läpireiät ja sitten tuo itse kahvaosa työnnetään niistä läpi ja taivutetaan laatikon sisäpuolella ylöspäin. Avomieheni hoiti sen osuuden, siihen nimittäin tarvittiin työkalua ja voimaa. Tilaamani uudet kahvat taipuivat ihan sormillakin.
Here's another one of those The House of Miniatures' furniture kits. I actually lost one of the escutcheons. It probably fell between our floor boards. Luckily one online shop in Finland sells those. They are a bit different shade, but it's not a problem because I put the new ones on both top drawers. Those original drawer pulls are hard to put in place, especially in such thick wood as the drawer fronts are. First you have to drill holes through the wood, then insert the handle though those holes and bend upwards inside the drawer. My boyfriend had to help me, because it required a tool and force. The new ones I managed to bend using just my fingers.
