Joululiina - Christmas table runner

Kun kesällä siivosin äitini kanssa mummini tavaroita, löysin vanhan ruotsalaisen käsityökerhon kuvaston 70-luvulta. Siinä on ihania kirjontamallien kuvia. Koska kuvat ovat niin selkeitä, pystyn tekemään pelkästään niiden perusteella joitakin kyseisistä malleista. Lankojen värit joudun tietysti valitsemaan vähän sinne päin kuvaa ja DMC-lankoja vertaamalla.

When I sorted my grandma's things with my mother during summer I found an old Swedish embroidery brochure from the 70's. It has lovely pictures of embroidery patterns. Because the pictures are so explicit, I can make some of the patterns just by looking at the picture. Of course I have to guess the closest thread colours by comparing the pictures and DMC floss.

Tässä ensimmäinen kirjontani kyseisestä kuvastosta. Tämä on joululiina keittiön pöydälle, jota en tosin ole vielä tehnyt. Liina on kirjottu ristipistoin 25 count evenweave-kankaalle, ja sen mitat ovat 6,5 x 12,5 cm.

This is my first embroidery work from the brochure. This is a Christmas table runner for a kitchen table, that I have not made yet. It is cross-stitched on 25 count evenweave fabric and its size is 6,5 x 12,5 cm.
